A lot of people worry about the size of the vehicle, but you get used to it fast. Usually, after 20 or 30 minutes behind the wheel, you already have a feel for where it ends and stop thinking about it.<\/p>

A 6-metre campervan is easier to park, more manageable in cities, and more practical on narrow roads.<\/p>

In that time, you can sleep in different spots \u2014 a night by the sea, a stay at a campsite, or a trip to the mountains and lakes. That way you get to experience different ways of travelling by motorhome, not just the drive from A to B.<\/p>

You'll also have time to top up the fresh water tank, empty the grey water, and deal with the chemical toilet.<\/p>

After a trip like that, you'll know whether this kind of holiday is for you or not.<\/p>

I'd also recommend having at least the first one or two nights planned out. After the first night, you'll usually have a much better feel for what kind of trip you enjoy most. Some people prefer staying by the sea, others head for the mountains, and some find they actually enjoy campsites more.<\/p>

From that point on, it's much easier to plan the rest of the route, because you're no longer deciding things from home while staring at maps \u2014 you're deciding on the road, based on what you're actually enjoying.<\/p>

Another common mistake is packing too much. Large suitcases tend to be impractical inside a motorhome, since they end up getting shuffled around constantly. Duffel bags or backpacks tend to work much better for this kind of trip.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
